The project is part of DRC\u2019s ongoing efforts to promote <strong>sustainable agricultural development<\/strong> in Egypt\u2019s desert regions<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">One of the wells will <strong>serve the local community<\/strong>, while the other is allocated to the <strong>Egyptian Food Bank<\/strong>, providing a permanent water source to support agricultural activities and strengthen food security<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Dr. <strong>Hosam Shawky<\/strong>, President of DRC, stated that the project was carried out based on <strong>comprehensive geological, hydrogeological, and geophysical studies<\/strong> to identify optimal drilling locations and ensure the <strong>sustainable use of the groundwater reservoir<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Dr. <strong>Ahmed Nasr<\/strong>, Supervisor of the Drilling Unit, added that the team successfully <strong>penetrated the Nubian Sandstone Aquifer<\/strong>, and the wells are now operating efficiently, producing <strong>low-salinity water (300\u2013350 ppm)<\/strong> suitable for irrigation.
