Desert Research Center Hosts Children with Disabilities for an Interactive Day to Support Social Inclusion

As part of its community role and commitment to promote the values ​​of inclusion and social solidarity, and highlighting the abilities and potential of people with disabilities, South Sinai Research Station, affiliated with Desert Research Center, welcomed a delegation from the British International Center for Sensory Integration and Skills Development for an interactive day filled with educational and recreational activities. The event aimed to bring joy to the children and develop their sensory and cognitive skills.

This initiative was implemented in accordance with the directives of Mr. Alaa Farouk, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, and the instructions of Dr. Hossam Shawky, President of Desert Research Center, under the supervision of Dr. Mohamed Ezzat, Vice President of DRC for Projects and Supervisor of Research Stations.

A comprehensive program was prepared in which the children participated in a series of simplified scientific and recreational experiments that were safe and engaging, contributing to the development of their scientific curiosity and bringing them happiness.

The program also included a tour of the greenhouses, during which the children learned about different types of plants and interacted with natural colors and scents in an experience designed to stimulate their senses and enhance their interaction with nature.

The children toured a farm, collected eggs, and fed camels, an experience that allowed them to interact with their surroundings in a joyful and enthusiastic atmosphere.

The activities concluded with commemorative photos and the distribution of small gifts to the children.
