The Prime Minister of Egypt Inspects the Seawater Desalination Research Experimental Station in New Alamein City

During his tour of the Northwest Coast region to follow up on the implementation status of several service and development projects, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, and his entourage inspected the seawater desalination research and testing station in New Alamein City

During his visit to the seawater desalination research experimentation station, the Prime Minister highlighted the state’s interest in seawater desalination and its commitment to expanding this field, as it is one of the most important pillars of sustainable development

The Prime Minister emphasized on the importance of ongoing research experiments using desalinated seawater to cultivate various types of vegetables and fruits. This which comes within the state’s efforts to maximize the agricultural potential of new coastal areas

During the Prime Minister’s tour of New Alamein City, Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, indicated that experiments and studies are currently being conducted through the Agricultural Research Center and the Desert Research Center on soil, water, and preparing crop compositions for certain crops, vegetables, and fruits characterized by their ability to adapt to the region’s climatic conditions

The Minister of Housing indicated that the success of such experiments would open new horizons for agricultural investment in the North Coast region and provide more opportunities for new agricultural projects
