As part of Egypt-China scientific cooperation, Dr. Hosam Shawky, president of Desert Research Center, received a delegation from Hubei Province’s Office of Science and Technology Innovation. The visit aimed to explore future collaboration between Hubei’s research institutions and DRC, following directives from Mr. Alaa Farouk , Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation
Led by Fang Yanfei, Director General of Hubei’s Science and Technology Department, the delegation discussed joint research in desertification, drought and salinity control, and unconventional water resources, as well as expert exchange programs. The Chinese side highlighted Hubei’s global strength in these areas
At the visit’s end, the delegation invited Dr. Shawky and his team to attend the upcoming China-Africa Forum in Wuhan
