Alaa Farouk, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, and Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, witnessed the signing of an agreement between the Desert Research Center and the Arab Contractors Company to rehabilitate the North Sinai Research Station in the Sheikh Zuweid area, as part of the state’s efforts to support sustainable agricultural development in Sinai.
The agreement was signed by Dr. Hossam Shawky, Head of the Desert Research Center, and Ahmed Mostafa Al-Assar, Chairman of the Board of Arab Contractors. The project aims to restart the station and enhance its research and service capacities to support applied scientific research and serve farmers and local residents, strengthening the role of the Desert Research Center and contributing to the implementation of the state’s development plans for North Sinai.
