Under the patronage of Mr. Alaa Farouk, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, and based on the directives of Dr. Hosam Shawky, President of Desert Research Centre, DRC participated in AgriTech 2024, which is considered one of the most prominent specialized agricultural exhibitions in Egypt and a leading event in the field of agricultural innovation and technology
Shawky explained that the exhibition aims to promote investment in the agricultural sector, as it attracts a variety of specialists in the agricultural field to search for new solutions that enhance productivity and contribute to agricultural sustainability
He also pointed out that the efforts of Desert Research Centre and its important role in promoting agricultural innovation, sustainability and improving soil fertility in Egypt were reviewed, as well as the achievements DRC made in using modern technologies in desalination and developing agricultural communities in desert areas, providing initiatives to support farmers and providing training courses on sustainable agricultural techniques, dealing with saline lands, and recycling agricultural waste
