In accordance with the directives of Alaa Farouk, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, to intensify fieldwork in development communities and provide technical and advisory support to Sinai farmers, and under the auspices of Dr. Hossam Shawky, President of Desert Research Center, the first tour of the fourth year of “Ask and Consult Before You Spend a Lot” initiative was launched from El-Nawafaa, North Sinai Governorate.
The visit aimed to assess the agricultural situation in the community, identify the most prominent challenges facing beneficiaries, and provide them technical recommendations to improve production and reduce costs.
Dr. Hossam Shawky stated that the initiative, launched by Desert Research Center in 2023, aims to help farmers make sound agricultural decisions and achieve optimal utilization of available resources, which will ultimately improve economic returns. During the visit, the initiative team conducted a field tour, met with farmers, listened to the problems they face, and the experts provided them the appropriate technical recommendations.
