Matrouh Governor visits Desert Research Center in Cairo to enhance joint cooperation in the field of agricultural development

In implementation of the directive of the Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation to enhance cooperation with executive bodies in the border governorates to support agricultural development projects, Dr. Hosam Shawky, President of Desert Research Center, meets Major General Khaled Shoeib, Governor of Matrouh, at DRC in Cairo, in the presence of Dr. Mohamed Ezzat, Vice President of Desert Research Center for Projects and Research Stations, and Dr. Ghada Hegazy, Vice President of the Center for Research and Studies

The meeting discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the Desert Research Center and Matrouh Governorate. They discussed how to implement agricultural projects while preserving environmental resources, and using modern scientific practices to ensure their sustainability in facing environmental challenges in the border areas

During the visit, Dr. Hosam Shawky reviewed the center’s efforts in the field of agricultural development, as the governor inspected the center’s central laboratories, and learned about the latest scientific methods in the fields of water desalination and water and soil analysis
