In line with the directives of Mr. Alaa Farouk, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, to support researchers, enhance their capabilities, and expand opportunities for international scientific cooperation and exchange, Dr. Hossam Shawky, President of Desert Research Center (DRC) and Dr. Ghada Hegazy, DRC’s Vice President for Research and Studies, met with Dr. Maggie Nassif, Executive Director of Fulbright Program in Egypt, and Ms. Noha Salah, Senior Program Officer at Fulbright.
The meeting addressed ways to strengthen cooperation and support the Center’s researchers, as well as introducing the research and study opportunities and grants offered by Fulbright.
Following the meeting, Desert Research Center, in collaboration with Fulbright, organized an introductory seminar titled “Applying for Fulbright Research and Study Grants,” attended by a number of researchers and research staff from DRC.
The seminar covered Fulbright programs and grants, application requirements and procedures, and opportunities available to researchers.
