Desert Research Center researchers have maintained their place on Stanford University’s list of “the most influential scientists in the world,” with four of them included in the university’s 2026 edition.
This year, the list included Dr. Heba Issawi, Dr. Muhammad Al-Sayed, Dr. Ahmed Abu Shadi, and Dr. Osama Abdel Salam, in scientific specializations including applied physics, chemical engineering, and horticulture.
This achievement came as a continuation of the inclusion of a number of DRC’s scientists on Stanford’s list last year.
Dr. Hossam Shawky, President of Desert Research Center, expressed his sincere congratulations to the scientists included on Stanford’s list, stressing that this achievement reflects the excellence of the center’s research production and the influential scientific contributions made by its scientists in their various specializations, wishing them more success and excellence, and the continuation of their scientific career, which strengthens the status of the Desert Research Center at the local and international levels.
