Within the framework of the Egyptian political leadership’s assignment to the Authority of the necessity of local manufacturing of water treatment and desalination units in cooperation with research centers and universities, Dr. Hosam Shawky – President of Desert Research Center met with Major General Hazem Fahmy – Head of the Technical Sector of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, to discuss ways of cooperation.
The President of Desert Research Center explained that fields of cooperation include designing and producing water treatment and desalination units, to meet the needs of development projects in the field of water and sanitation, provide the needs of the Egyptian market, and export the surplus to the Arab and African markets.
Shawky praised the efforts of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, expressing the Desert Research Center’s aspiration to expand the areas of cooperation and partnership with the Authority and to provide all facilities to achieve the maximum possible benefit from the capabilities of the Arab Organization for Industrialization. And to meet the needs of the local market.
From his part, the President of the Arab Organization for Industrialization and his accompanying delegation expressed their appreciation for the advanced research capabilities at the Desert Research Center.
