Desert Research signs a scientific and research cooperation agreement with Kyungpook University

President of Desert Research Center, Hossam Shawky, signed with Byung-yeon, director of the Korea Development Institute at Kyungpook National University, an agreement for the exchange of scientific and research cooperation in the fields of agriculture and rural development.

The agreement aims to support the implementation of joint research projects and studies, and the exchange of scientific and technical materials, data and information related to agricultural fields and rural development, in addition to cooperation in community development and dissemination of agricultural technologies.

It also includes organizing programs for professional education and capacity building through training courses, workshops and conferences, as well as supporting distinguished researchers at Desert Research Center to continue their master’s and doctoral programs at Kyungpook National University.

On the sidelines of the meeting, the delegation took an inspection tour inside DRC’s central laboratories complex to learn about the research capabilities and modern technologies that DRC possesses, and to learn about the research activities and services provided by the laboratories in the fields of analyzing water, soil, and plant samples.
