Following to the progress of work at the research stations , Dr. Hosam Shawky President of Desert Research Center, visited Baloza and Qantara research stations, in North Sinai Governorate. This came in implementation of the directives of Mr. Al-Qaseer, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, regarding the Sinai development plan.
He visited the development work of Qantara Research Station and the desalination station with a capacity of 20 cubic meters per day.
He also visited the work of developing irrigation infrastructure to cultivate 250 acres, and indicated that it would be quickly completed during the current fiscal year.
Then he met with the head of the station and the work team, and he praised their efforts, and urged the work team to complete their work in order to enhance the station’s service and development role in North Sinai.
