Professor Dr. Hossam Shawky, President of Desert Research Centre, welcomed Professor Yahu Kang, former Dean of the Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources research in China.
The visit came with the aim of starting a joint project between DRC and the Chinese Institute. The project is entitled “Raising the efficiency of irrigation systems, water saving, and precise management of water and salts in Egypt”, The project aims to disseminate automated partial irrigation technology, drip irrigation technology, and use salt water for irrigation.
